Aeesha Malik, MBChB, BSc, DTM&H, FRCOphth, MPH, PhD
Aeesha Malik is an Eye Surgeon and Assistant Professor in International Child Eye Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, within the International Centre for Eye Health. Over the past 10 years, Aeesha has conducted research and worked across Africa and Asia, collaborating with health tech entrepreneurs and local communities to develop and test innovative, low-cost eye health solutions aimed at preventing blindness.

Eslam Elbaaly, MD, MSc
Eslam is a humanitarian, doctor, and researcher with eight years of experience working with Médecins Sans Frontières, where he led humanitarian responses and managed complex projects in challenging environments. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Humanitarian Studies at York University.

Anand Vinekar, MBBS, MS (Ophthal PGIMER), FRCS (G), FPVR (USA), PhD (Maastricht), PGDMLE (NLSIU)
Anand Vinekar is a Professor and Head of Department at Narayana Nethralaya Eye Institute, Bangalore, and the Founder and Program Director of KIDROP, India’s first and the world’s largest Tele-ROP program. He serves in an honorary capacity as a Member of the National Task Force for ROP, Secretary of the Indian ROP Society, member of the WHO Universal Screening Guidelines Committee, EYESHA, and mentor to several ROP programs.

Naomi Wright, MBChB (Hons), BSc (Hons), DCH, MSc, PhD, FRCS (Paed)
Naomi is a Global Paediatric Surgeon and Research Fellow at the King’s Centre for Global Health, London. She has led a research collaboration of 220 surgical teams across sub-Saharan Africa.

Shahab Ali Siddiqui, MBBS, MSc MBA
Shahab has held key strategic roles at UNICEF, the Asian Development Bank, and IQVIA. He has also served as a Senior Consultant at Save the Children and with the Government of India.

Shwetha Mangalesh, MD
Shwetha has been a Research Scholar at Duke University School of Medicine, specializing in neonatal eye health and imaging, where she was awarded the Best Postdoctoral Fellow Award. She also served as the research lead for the innovative KIDROP project, working alongside Anand Vinekar.

Andrea Togo, MD, IBCLC, FRACP, MPH
Andrea is a paediatrician and neonatologist based in Melbourne, Australia, with extensive experience consulting and working on projects in Ethiopia, Mozambique, and Libya.

Oumer Abdurahman, BSc, MPH
Oumer has served as the Program Manager for Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) at the Ethiopian Ministry of Health and has also led the Wellcome Trust-funded trachoma clinical program, “Stronger SAFE.”

Farouk Garda, MBBS, MIM, MSc, FMCOphth
Farouk is an ophthalmologist with a deep passion for eye care. He has worked with various international and national NGOs, where he has played a key role in planning and coordinating eye care projects.

Zoë Windle, BSc, MSc
Zoë is a highly experienced project manager with a track record of leading multi-country projects at organizations such as the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Overseas Development Institute (ODI), London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), CDC Plus, CDC Group, and Maxwell Stamp PLC. She holds a Master’s degree in International Development and Project Management from Sciences Po Paris.

Vasudha Kemmanu, MBBS, MPH
Vasudha is a paediatric ophthalmologist who holds a Master’s in Public Health for Eye Care from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, awarded through the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship.

Gatera Fiston Kitema, MSc, PhD
Fiston is a Lecturer of Preventive and Community Ophthalmology at the Ophthalmology Department of the University of Rwanda. He is a highly motivated trainer and researcher in global eye health and One Health, with extensive experience in multi-sectoral project management, monitoring, evaluation, and research across academic, government, non-governmental, and private institutions. Fiston is fluent in English, French, Swahili, Kirundi, and Kinyarwanda.

Roxanne is an ophthalmologist with extensive experience in training primary eye care workers across Africa. She also works closely with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) in the UK, serving as a mentor in their reverse mentoring program.

MSc (Distinction)
Jo is an ophthalmologist and a member of the Royal Navy. She holds an MSc in Primary Care Ophthalmology and is passionate about teaching. Jo regularly engages in educational activities within her NHS trust and provides tri-service teaching within the military medical branches.
