Child Eye Health

Eye health should be an essential part of every child health program. We envision a world where every child health worker knows how to detect and manage eye conditions in children.

The Problem

70-80% of blind children are born blind or become blind by the age of 6.

01

Up to two-thirds of blindness in children is preventable or treatable with cost-effective measures.

02

There is a severe shortage of skilled eye care professionals in these regions. This means that children with eye problems often go undetected and untreated.

03

The primary health workers who care for young children are not trained in eye care, and eye health is not included in primary child health programs or policies.

Our Solution

To create a sustainable and scalable solution to provide primary eye care services for children worldwide.
